The story, told by locals, says that the Rio Celeste took on stunning colors when God dipped his paintbrush into the river as he painted the sky. Scientifically speaking, the color occurs when two different rivers of clear water meet, and a certain type of mineral coated with silicon, oxygen and aluminum remains suspended in the flow. The size, suspension and reflection of sunlight create this vibrant blue color in the water.
Departure 6:30 am return 5 pm distance 1.40 minutes our tours are guided by our naturalist guides where we can observe the Llanos Cortez waterfall and swim a little to breathe pure nature air then we pass the area of the Tenorio volcano where we observe sloths and many amphibians plants and various birds with a cocoa coffee tours in front of the Vokcan Tenorio and the Rio Celeste walk, one of the best hiking walks is located on the Tenorio volcano.
